We want to thank all of those who donated to help mark the Braddock Road Trace from over 270 years ago from Cumberland to Pittsburgh, through the Jumonville property. As Bob Bantz in Maryland states “It is certainly our responsibility to do whatever is possible to provide signs along this historic trail for those who seek the old trail and for posterity.”

Marking Braddock’s Trail is a gift to our children & grandchildren, so they can hear the stories of how this great nation was born, with sacrifice, bravery, and the pursuit of freedom.

Robert Adamovich, artist and engineer, has created a very appealing and appropriate marker which will be visible to the traveler and provides an immediate indication of the presence and location of the trail.

The design by Robert Adamovich is as it should be: striking, definite and simple, addressing very successfully the three goals of the project.

The historic information, which is BRADDOCK, was conveyed with well-placed text, enhancing the graphic image. He chose the striking British Flag as an easily recognized symbol and the year date 1755 not only informs, but highlights the impact of the sign.
