We will mark the Braddock Road with your help!

This is an invitation to play an essential part in marking the Braddock Trail 0f 250 years ago through the Jumonville properties. As Bob Bantz in Maryland states “It is certainly our responsibility to do whatever is possible to provide signs along this historic trail for those who seek the old trail and for posterity.”

We ask you to support our endeavors to mark Braddock’s Trail at Jumonville for our children & grandchildren, so they can hear the stories of how this great nation was born.

Robert Adamovich, artist and engineer, has created a very appealing and appropriate marker which will be visible to the traveler and provides an immediate indication of the presence and location of the trail.

The design by Robert Adamovich is as it should be: striking, definite and simple, addressing very successfully the three goals of the project.

The historic information, which is BRADDOCK, was conveyed with well-placed text, enhancing the graphic image. He chose the striking British Flag as an easily recognized symbol and the year date 1755 not only informs, but highlights the impact of the sign.

As you would agree this beautiful image will portray the determination of this organization of which you are a part, to mark the trail upon the property at Jumonville and elsewhere in the future. We need your financial support to begin, by marking ten or so placements upon Jumonville property. Please commit whatever financial support you can to establish these markings for ourselves, our children and for the future. A contribution of $125 will pay for one sign, the 4×4 Wolmanized post and the hardware to install it.

Jumonville is the starting place and the rest of the road in Pennsylvania will be continued in the future. Come walk the trail with us and help us mark the path of our nation’s proud history in Pennsylvania.
